I don’t even know where to start!
What began in March as Casa Feliz’s “phase 6” and only “3-month” project of remodeling the second level of the bigger building and installing new windows….turned into a 6.5-month project continuing onto “phase 7” (new bathrooms for the elderly) and “phase 8” (new flooring) for the entire second level!
Thank you to those who have made this possible: remodeling the 17 bedrooms, reconstructing the new bathrooms for the elderly (7 showers, 8 bathroom stalls, 5 sinks, 3 urinals…all handicap accessible), replacing 50 windows & installing 3300 square feet of tile.
I have been waiting 6.5 months to share the before and after photos of the 3 major construction projects going down at Casa Feliz this year and the moment has finally arrived! It will be 5 years since the purchase of Casa Feliz on September 24, 2017….and it is such a joy to see that despite these 5 difficult years of remodeling over 14,000 square feet of property we are ONE BIG STEP CLOSER!!!
I would say we are about 75% finished with construction until the building is ready to receive the elderly in need. The next 2 years will be crucial in finishing the main level of Casa Feliz (dining room, kitchen & hospice wing)…please keep us in your prayers as we discern with the Lord how to move forward in our service to the poor.
